Wise Wednesdays: Look Inwards

"Wise ideas packaged just for you."

We are already into the last half of the year, and if you’re anything like me, you might be taking a peek at how things have been going. Are you getting closer to your goals for the year? Are you becoming the person you wanted to be? Are you happy with the direction your life's headed? These are some pretty important questions. Usually, when we're on the hunt for answers and guidance, we tend to look outward. We chat with friends, turn to mentors, or maybe have a heart-to-heart with our folks. All good stuff, for sure. But here's the twist: We often forget to look within ourselves for these answers. The truth is that no one has more experience than you, in being you. No one has really walked a mile in your shoes. So, where do you start this inner journey? Well, meditation and journaling can be two ways to dive in. Take some extra time to reflect on things. Maybe you'll need to practice listening and learning to look inwards a bit more. But the answers you're searching for are usually hiding inside, ready for you to uncover…

Quotes to remember

  • “At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” ― Lao Tzu.

  • “Going inward. That’s the real work. The solutions are not outside of us. Get to know who you really are, because as you search for the hero within, you inevitably become one.” ― Emma Tiebens.

  • “When I turn inward, I find no words. Only light; only love.” ― Laura Jaworski.
